Hike and wildflowers

Today’s picture is a picture of “Dodantsutsuji(ドウダンツツジ)” provided by a customer. This photo was taken at Mt.Karakuni(韓国岳) in the Kirishima mountain range.

Miyazaki Prefecture, located in the south of Japan, has a mild climate, so some people shy away from hiking in the summer heat. However, from spring to autumn, you can see a lot of wildflowers in the mountains. “Doudantsutsuji(ドウダンツツジ)” is also one of the popular flowers for those who enjoy hiking.

These flowers are written as “白満天星(Shiro-doudan)” and “紅満天星(Beni-doudan)” in Japan. The kanji for red or white, perfect starry sky.
